If this is your first pair of Pons, these are the pointers we would share in the store:
- Initially, the leather across the top of your foot will feel snug. This is totally normal, and as it stretches it will loosen to feel like a custom shoe.
- The strap around your heel should fit firmly without any gapping.
The quickest way to loosen the leather across your toes is to use a leather conditioner or wear socks with the Pons and the warmth of your foot will loosen the leather. Like a good pair of leather boots, it takes a couple wears to get them fitted to your foot but once they are set, they're glorious!
Pons sizing is consistent with the standard US size guide for length and width. We recommend comparing your foot measurement with our sizing chart to make the best choice. Most of our half-size wearing customers find success choosing the smaller of the two sizes they are in between.
Like a sprinkle of flaky salt or the squeeze of a good condiment, drizzle adds a big pop of flavor right before you dig in (That’s why it’s called a finishing oil!).
Drizzle is an early harvest extra virgin olive oil. What exactly does that mean? The harvest season in Spain goes from October to January. Drizzle is harvested in the first 2 weeks of October, when the olives are very small, very hard, and very green. When pressed, these tiny hard olives yield a very small amount of oil.
That oil is super concentrated and packed with flavor, which is why we recommend eating it raw.
Before you say “evoo isn’t for cooking,” read this: thanks to the super stable picual olive, sizzle was born for the heat. It’s still 100% extra-virgin, but made with mid-harvest olives that give it a more mellow flavor.
Sizzle is a peak harvest extra virgin olive oil. What exactly does that mean? The harvest season in Spain goes from October to January. Sizzle is harvested between the end of November until the beginning of Jan, when the olives are at their most ripe. They've grown bigger, jucier, and have turned dark green or purple. When pressed, these plump olives yield much more oil than during the early harvest. That oil much more mellow, but still packed with flavor.
We recommend using Sizzle with anything you're cooking or heating up!
The hot sauce of all hot sauces 👑
A Passport Habits fan favorite for all meals.
Our Datil Pepper twist on a classic vinegar based hot sauce: the essence of the Datil Pepper's naturally sweet heat and signature Slow Burn. Recommend a dab (or a few!) on simple foods like veggies, meats, salads (instead of or along side dressing), an omelette/scramble, rice bowls, or tacos.
We also recommend using Zab's Original as a "simmer sauce", adding a little back end heat when cooked into pasta sauces, soups, or anything that you want to give a bit of lingering burn. And finally, swirl a few dabs into your favorite dressing or aioli for an added kick.
